About Slano
This area has been inhabited since prehistoric times with a continuity of life that stretches through the Greek, Roman, and medieval times to the present day.
In the Middle Ages Slano was an important part of the powerful Republic of Dubrovnik, which it became a part of in the 14th century. It served as the seat of the Republican rector and, what is especially important in this context, the summer resort of the Dubrovnik nobility. The prince's palace and several summer houses are all well preserved to this day and remind us of the power and cultural achievements of the Republic of Dubrovnik, but also of the irresistibly attractive beauty of Slano for rest, and relaxation. Several centuries ago it was and still remained an escape from stressful concerns.
Like the sumptuous summer houses of the powerful Dubrovnik nobility, the luxurious Villa Vanna offers all the possibilities in order to make the most of your vacation so that you could spend a wonderful time enjoying all the charms and possibilities that this place offers.
